Sesame oil is Mayou for short, commonly referred to as Xiangyou, a joint name for ground sesame oil and pressed sesame oil which are sesame oil with full aroma literally. The aroma, which is different from other edible oils, is generated from a special composition in sesame seeds through high temperature frying in processing, so it is called as Xiangyou (which literally means fragrant oil.). Classified according to processing techniques, there are ground sesame oil and pressed sesame oil. |
